THALYS SOUNDS OF THE CITY

Thalys wanted a fresh way to present their train destinations. Something different than photos of famous tourist spots.

We captured the sound identities of Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam and invented a new kind of interactive billboard. Each city had a billboard containing over 1000 sounds. Each sound was accessed via a unique headphone jack.

Each billboard offered hours of entertainment and the average engagement period was over five minutes. Much longer than consumers would spend with traditional Thalys advertising.

Visits to Thalys.com spiked by 20,000 impressions, a 58.5% increase on the average for that time of the year.
